Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda recently announced with euphoria that his agenda called “Soft Heart” is gradually being realized now with the coming of investors.

SOFT stands for Socially relevant, Operationally viable, Financially feasible, and Technologically advanced; while HEART stands for Housing for workers, Expansion of the FAB, Accessibility, Renewable energy, and Transportation system which is now getting better.

Pineda, in his lengthy but informative speech during the groundbreaking ceremony for the FAB Central Terminal, said that it was his dream to implement the Soft Heart when he assumed the AFAB post in 2016.

“Ngayon nakikita kong malapit na ang katuparan ng Soft Heart dahil maraming positive changes sa Mariveles,” he said.

“This is the beginning of the fulfillment of SOFT HEART, at hindi ito mabubuo kung wala kayo,” he explained seemingly referring to Wilfredo Tan, chairperson and president of Hausland Group and son Atty. Christopher Ryan Tan, chief executive officer of the same company. The elder Tan disclosed that there more groundbreakings to be held in the coming days in FAB.

Pineda said there are already 17 expansion areas of FAB in Bataan province. “Kaya kayo ang bubuo ng Soft Heart agenda ko, hindi lamang physically, talagang blessed na blessed ang AFAB, at talagang hindi na mapipigilan ang pag asenso ng Mariveles,” he added.
